Tapestry: Family, Community & Imperfect Beauty

What would Thanksgiving jewelry look like if it was not about turkeys, leaves, or decoration, but about the people gathered around the table?

Tapestry began with that question while brainstorming holiday-themed work with artist Sheri-Lauren for a November First Friday Art Walk. The idea quickly moved toward family, community, and the imperfect ways our lives are woven together.

This developing Charming Quail™ collection begins with loose, uneven gold “threads” forming a cloth-like pendant. A small tear in the weave reveals a red stone at the heart of the design.

That exposed heart is the emotional center of the piece: a reminder that when families or communities are strained, torn, or tested, what matters most often becomes easier to see.

Tapestry is still in development, with future sketches, CAD studies, and finished pieces planned as the collection grows alongside the community that helped inspire it.
